I am devastated to hear of the death of Duncan. Not only was Duncan a work colleague, but also he was, with Ruth, a very close friend. He was always fun to be with and we shared many happy times together. We had a common love of cryptic crosswords and would consult one another on sticky clues. Being a fellow Yorkshireman, we did on the odd occasion, join together to render On Ilkley Moor Bar Tat to anyone willing to listen. Over recent years, I have caught up with Duncan and Ruth at their lovely home in Denmark. It was great to know they were so happy in their retirement move and I do hope Ruth, Dave, Phillip and family can take some comfort in the knowledge that he had so enjoyed the community life they had there. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Ruth and family. Fond memories of a true gentleman and generous friend. Dunc will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Jenny
