Having only recently had dinner with Duncan, Ruth and former Curtin staff at our twice yearly get together, I am stunned to hear of his sudden passing. Duncan and I often had offices next to each other for the 30 years we were both at WAIT then Curtin in the Centre for Advanced Studies and later Public Health. Like Ross, I remember Duncan walking down towards the Kitchenette/photocopier in often interesting socks but always with his Daffy Duck coffee mug with the long beak that we regularly teased him about needing a good clean. Duncan had a interesting and varied working life and later retirement in Denmark where he and Ruth embraced the community and they him. My sincere condolences to Ruth and family -- hold on to each other keeping your memories close to your heart.
